Residents of Pairc Ui Mhuirithe in Macroom are invited to attend a ‘bike doctor’ event on site on:
Thursday the 18th of August from 3-5pm.
An important part of safe cycling is ensuring that the equipment you use (or that your child uses) is well-suited and in proper working order. At this event, two bike mechanics from ‘Cycle Sense’ will be coming to Pairc Ui Mhuirithe to help residents to do bike checks – this includes tire pumping, puncture fixing, brake adjusting, oiling chains & cable/pad replacement (if necessary). Both adult and kids’ bikes are welcome.
There will be some cycle skills activities for children and TORC will be giving away some bike accessory goodies. If your child does not have a bike, but would like to do the cycle skills, we can provide a bike for them to use. Please include this request on the registration form.
TORC has also invited the Ice Cream van to come down towards the end of the event to provide ice creams for everyone.
Register your bike for the event below:
If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact your Tenant Engagement Officer Bethany on getinvolved@torcsustainablehousing.ie.
We are also looking for some adults/parents to volunteer on the day – particularly to steward the roads for car safety.
