Annual Plan for Events, Initiatives & Resident Groups
Throughout the year there will be a selection of training, competitions and events organised by our Tenant Engagement Officer Bethany for all TORC schemes to get involved it. We have also created a draft annual plan of events that will take place on each scheme. However, it’s important that we hear from you about what you would like. Please take a few minutes to complete the short survey below:
Share Your Ideas Here
This year we are hoping that a resident group in each scheme will come together to organise at least one community event. The table below shows some ideas we had for each scheme – the events highlighted in yellow are the ones we propose that residents come together to organise, otherwise they will not be able to go ahead. TEO Bethany will be in touch with residents from each scheme to help plan and fund these events.

Heating System Demonstrations – Update
Last month we offered residents the opportunity to register for a one-to-one heating System demonstration. 18 residents registered and their details were passed over to the Repair team’s Technical Advisor to complete the demonstrations. Most demonstrations have now been completed. One resident provided feedback to the TEO to say that this initiative had made a very positive impact on their ability to manage their home.
If you would still like to request a heating demonstration you can email repairs@torcsustainablehousing.ie or call 01 485 2020 and press 1 for Repairs.

4/ TORC Top Tips for Tenants
|
Condensation affects a large proportion of households in Ireland, particularly during the cold Winter months. While it is mostly harmless, if your windows aren’t maintained, the moisture could develop into dangerous mould that can cause health issues like asthma, eczema, and bronchitis.
If you have noticed condensation on your windows – try this month’s top tips to combat it. You could also purchase a Hygrometer (humidity thermometer) which will tell you if your home is too ‘wet’, or use a ‘Window Vacuum’ to suck away moisture from windows.
