Bike Week 2022 Events at TORC
Thanks to the positive response from residents to the Bike Week survey that was sent out to Clairin in Galway and Pairc Goodman in Skibbereen, TORC will be hosting a ‘Bike Doctor’ event on each scheme.
Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of the benefits of cycling. This year, Bike Week will officially kick off on Saturday May 14th and end on Sunday May 22nd. A variety of events will be held throughout Ireland – check out the Transport For Ireland website to see what’s happening in your area.
TORC has partnered with community bike workshop groups Cycle Sense in Skibbereen and An Mheitheal Rothar in Galway to host a ‘Bike Doctor’ event in each location. Bicycle Mechanics will be on site to service residents’ bikes for free. This will include diagnosis / cleaning / oiling chains/ pumping + puncture fixing and brake adjusting. There will also be repair demonstrations and bike accessory giveaways!
