This month marks the official start of Spring – Hooray! and TORC Tenant Engagement has a jam-packed schedule of events. You can get involved by signing up to a First Aid Training, attending a Resident or Community meeting, baking a brown bread loaf for the St Patrick’s Day competition, entering the Mother’s Day raffle, attending the Garden Design Workshop, or registering for the upcoming Easter Bingo event.
March 3rd was World Book Day and to mark it, the TORC team shared their favourite book- if you’re curious about the team and their selections you can check out the infographic on our Facebook page.
A big thank you to the 17 people who submitted a story to the Resilience Campaign last month – it was an honour to read about the strength of our residents. The entries have been sent to the Judging Panel and the winners will be announced next week.
TORC Scheme Updates:
In February we welcomed residents to 4 homes in Skibbereen and Clonakilty in Cork, and in March we are handing over the keys to 11 homes in Clane, Co. Kildare.

6/ TORC Top Tips for Tenants
|
This month’s #TORCTopTipsforTenants is all about highlighting some of the ways that residents can save money by conserving energy in their home. Energy prices in Ireland have increased significantly over the past year due to a number of factors such as the price of fossil fuels on wholesale markets skyrocketing. You can read about why energy prices are on the rise here. According to figures from Eurostat, Irish electricity prices are the fourth most expensive in the EU.
With that in mind, it’s more important than ever to try and find ways to reduce our heating and electricity consumption and lower our energy bills. Being energy efficient is both good for the environment as well as your pocket.
