Fun-Believable Science will provide 6 science-based shows for children aged 4-12. Each programme will be 8-10 minutes in length and is designed as a “laugh and learn” project. Children will see experiments set up and then guess the outcome. The show is hosted by Jeff Keough, who performs as Dr. Brain. Jeff has been a fulltime entertainer since 1987 and deconstructs his circus skills to explain the science behind the tricks. The demonstrations have a “wow” factor that will engage children of all ages.

TORC’s February Housing Clinic in Shannon
TORC’s Housing Officer, Tenant Engagement Officer and Facilities Management were on site in Shannon on Wednesday 26th February and held a Housing Clinic.
It was great to meet all those who attended and to answer the questions you had.
We plan to hold a housing clinic in each TORC scheme within the coming months.
An Taisce Spring Clean in Shannon
As part of the An Taisce The National Trust for Ireland ‘National Spring Clean’ Campaign, TORC is supporting our Shannon residents to do a community clean up Thursday 27th of March
TORC and An Taisce will provide all the bags, gloves, and litter pickers for residents to use. We hope all Shannon residents will come and join us!

TORC Annual Unit inspections 2025
Each year, TORC carries out an annual inspection on each of our 465 properties to ensure that we provide safe, efficient, durable, comfortable and sustainable homes for our tenants. The 2025 house inspections begin next month in April and all schemes will be completed by October. Some important information to remember:
TORC will give a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice by letter to let you know the date and time-frame of your inspection.
If you are not going to be home or need a specific time for an appointment, please let us know in advance of your inspection.
HSCOs understand your home is where you live, we do not expect to walk into showrooms.
During the inspection a members of TORC staff may take pictures – these are used as a visual record of the condition of the property over the lifecycle of your home. They are also used to assist with logging any repairs.
Where a person is under 18 and is at home alone, we cannot complete an inspection without your previous permission/consent.
